Welcome to Central Coast Classifieds!

Welcome to our first post! We are excited to announce the soft launch of Central Coast Classifieds, a listing service created to serve the coastal counties of Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties!

This app was created to help build upon and expand a sense of community where we can lean on each other as a resource.

One of the ways to do that is to make it simple and easy to make a listing that will allow you to sell, trade, or give away an item. We want to bring a fresh take on creating listings and searching for items.

Some of the things that make us unique is:

• Regional-based service

Just because this app is hosted on the internet does not mean it is for everyone to use. This app was specifically created to serve the Central Coast. If you are tired of searching for things to buy and the other sites return listings that are too far for you to drive to anyway then this is the place to be. Anything searched here is intended to be within reasonable reach.

• Secure E-mail communications

When you create a listing, a special e-mail address is created for each listing. Anyone can click the “Send message” button and begin a conversation via email with you where each of your e-mail address are hidden from each other. This keeps your personal e-mail off the app from public view and lets you share contact information within the e-mails at your convenience.

• Simple but reliable search

We keep it simple and run your search words against the title of the post. The description is just for additional info to describe your item. We are planning on rolling out additional features that let you filter by county and category.

The app is simple but functional. We are excited to see people utilizing the app and hopefully in time, we can see it grow into a community source where we can search for community events, job listings, services offered, and vendor storefronts.
